A pioneer in holistic dentistry and regulatory medicine
“True healing does not begin with treating symptoms, but with understanding the causes. The human body is an interconnected system—every tooth, every material, every substance is connected to the whole. Only when we recognize these connections and support the body’s self-regulation can we achieve lasting health.”
This deep conviction has shaped the work of Dr. med. univ. Heinrich Hechenblaickner for over three decades—a physician, oral surgeon, and holistic practitioner who is now regarded as one of the leading experts in cause-oriented medicine and holistic dentistry. Through his work, he has elevated the topics of oral health, detoxification, and overall health to a holistic level, demonstrating just how closely these areas are intertwined.
In 1985, he completed his medical studies at the Universities of Innsbruck and Vienna. In 1989, he passed his board certification exams in oral and maxillofacial surgery and dentistry—with honors. That same year, he opened his own practice. But 1993 marked a turning point: Dr. Hechenblaickner began to delve deeply into complementary medicine. What he observed in his daily practice could not be fully explained by conventional medical approaches alone. Chronic complaints, material intolerances, and connections between dental foci and systemic diseases led him on an intensive journey of further education in Austria and Germany, where he acquired an impressive range of additional qualifications that combined his conventional medical expertise with complementary approaches.
In 2006, Dr. Hechenblaickner founded the Theragnos Institute—a natural outcome of his years of experience and his vision of truly holistic medicine. The name combines the Greek words “therapeia” (healing) and “gnosis” (knowledge)—healing through knowledge. The institute specializes in holistic diagnostics and regulatory therapies that not only treat symptoms but also address their root causes. The focus is on detoxification and regeneration therapies—an approach that is of the utmost relevance in an era of increasing environmental stress and chronic diseases.
His particular expertise lies in the impact of heavy metals, environmental toxins, and incompatible materials on the body. As one of the leading experts in heavy metal detoxification and material testing, he understands how amalgam, industrial toxins, pesticides, and herbicides can burden the human body. His work with Vegatest, bioresonance therapy, and dark-field microscopy enables him to visualize burdens that would remain hidden using conventional methods.
Since 2007, Dr. Hechenblaickner has been sharing his extensive knowledge in numerous seminars in Austria and Germany. Since 2017, he has been a lecturer at the Paracelsus Schools for Alternative Medicine in Germany, where he teaches functional medicine, isopathy, resonance homeopathy, and Regena therapy. From 2015 to 2016, he served as vice president of the AktivGesund association. From 2007 to 2010, he was responsible for holistic medical care at Klosterneuburg Abbey, and from 2011 to 2012, for SV Mattersburg.
He is skilled at integrating various traditions of complementary medicine and advocates a holistic understanding of health—as the interplay of body, mind, and environment. His expertise includes anthroposophic medicine, isopathy, spagyrics, human nosode therapy, Regena therapy, and resonance homeopathy. At the Mycoverse Foundation, he contributes his experience in holistic diagnostics, detoxification, and material testing, helping to understand how medicinal mushrooms can be optimally integrated into a holistic therapeutic approach that also incorporates oral health and the body’s own self-regulatory mechanisms.
