MYCOVERSE Foundation:
We are unlocking the world of fungi

The MYCOVERSE FOUNDATION is dedicated to researching and promoting the incredible potential of fungi—nature’s most versatile and powerful organisms.

Based in Liechtenstein, we work to advance the understanding of fungi and fungal species while developing practical solutions that benefit everyone—from farmers and healthcare providers to environmentalists and consumers.

The valuable properties of mushrooms

Mushrooms are everywhere, yet most people know very little about their remarkable capabilities. We are bridging this knowledge gap by conducting research, creating educational materials, and developing innovative applications that harness the power of mushrooms to address real-world challenges.

Our work spans several areas that directly impact daily life: We help develop sustainable farming methods that naturally improve crop yields, produce nutritious foods, advance medical treatments using fungal compounds, and develop groundbreaking environmental solutions that help restore damaged ecosystems.

Areas of Activity of the MYCOVERSE Foundation

Research Matters

At our research institute, we investigate how fungi can help solve some of the most pressing problems of our time. Our scientists develop new medications from fungal compounds, create sustainable alternatives to synthetic materials, and explore how fungi can help eliminate environmental pollution.
We also maintain a comprehensive digital library that makes mycological knowledge accessible to everyone—from students and researchers to farmers and entrepreneurs.
Our specialized spore bank preserves rare fungal species and ensures that future generations will also have access to this incredible biodiversity.

Education and Public Relations

You don’t need a college degree to understand mushrooms. We develop educational programs and resources that make the complex science of mycology accessible and relevant to everyone.
Whether you want to grow your own mushrooms, learn about their health benefits, or understand their role in ecosystems—we provide clear and practical information.

Global Impact, Local Benefits

Our international partnerships enable us to tackle global challenges while developing solutions that benefit local communities. We work with farmers to implement sustainable farming practices, collaborate with healthcare providers to develop mushroom-based treatments, and partner with environmental organizations to restore damaged landscapes using mycological approaches.
