As a former colleague of Heinz von Foerster, Dr. Pawlik brings specialized knowledge in systems thinking, AI ethics, and transdisciplinary knowledge communication to both experts and the general public. His expertise in translating complex philosophical concepts makes the benefits and applications of consciousness research accessible across disciplines.

Cybernetics and Digital Ethics

Dr. Pawlik co-developed Vienna’s entries for the NASA Space Apps Challenge and created innovative solutions that address global challenges related to digitalization and sustainability. Mystical Experience and Health

Through the development of Evolutionary Movement—a regenerative movement meditation rooted in neuroscience, ancient wisdom, and research on personal near-death experiences—Dr. Pawlik is creating innovative cultivation methods that have a positive impact on human well-being. Bioethics and Psychedelic Research

As an ethics advisor for the Mycoverse Foundation, Dr. Pawlik develops guidelines on psychedelic medicine, bioethics, and holistic health. His work promotes interdisciplinary research and the preservation of mind-expanding practices to maximize their benefits for people, plants, animals, and the environment.

Global peace and sustainability initiatives

Dr. Pawlik served as the lead author of the Mahatma Gandhi World Peace Petition, which was submitted to the UN Secretary-General with contributions from 82 experts from 25 countries, including four Nobel laureates. This initiative demonstrates his commitment to active collaboration with organizations, individuals, and institutions around the world.

Educational Innovation and Social Impact

As a co-founder of Innogees – Pioneers of Peace, Dr. Pawlik developed a best-practice integration and education model for young asylum seekers. Work Experience and Education

Scientific Ethics Advisor at the Mycoverse Foundation (2022–present)

Dr. Pawlik provides expertise on the ethics of psychedelic research, AI policy, and planetary sustainability. His role involves gathering, managing, and disseminating specialized knowledge about consciousness research and its diverse applications and implications, reaching out to both the general public and experts.

Transdisciplinary education expert and speaker (2005–present)

With numerous scholarly publications and lectures on the philosophy of consciousness, digital ethics, movement, health, and mysticism, Dr. Pawlik contributes to the Foundation’s mission in education and information. He co-founded the university program for PRO-vokative Pedagogy at Danube University Krems and developed training courses designed to disseminate knowledge about consciousness research and its benefits.

Kinesiology and Health Counseling (2010–Present)

Dr. Pawlik designed movement-based pain therapy retreats for the Trinicum Center and taught qigong, yoga, and tai chi at leading institutions. This work represents the development and implementation of innovative healing methods that have a positive impact on human well-being.

Digital Ethics and AI Governance (2016–2018)

Through his advisory work on ethical AI frameworks and human-machine interaction with Dr. Urška Starc-Peceny, as well as his contributions to NASA-related innovation challenges, Dr. Pawlik actively supports the development and application of consciousness-informed technology through scientific research.

Academic Foundation

Dr. Pawlik earned his Ph.D. from the University of Applied Arts Vienna (2006–2011) with a dissertation on science, technology, and ethics in cultural evolution. His Master of Philosophy from the University of Vienna (1999–2001, summa cum laude), which focused on science studies, cybernetics, and East-West integration, forms the foundation for his interdisciplinary approach to consciousness research.
